About LIR Transfers

LIR Transfers is a small, independent Liberia Airport transportation operator in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We began business operations in March 2024 and, as of April 2025, have operated over 420 transfers (and counting) from and to Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR). We specialize in private airport transportation and offer shared shuttles to Tamarindo.

Our Story

LIR Transfers is founded by professionals who have worked in the Costa Rican airport transportation industry for over 20 years. As residents of the beautiful Guanacaste province, we have witnessed firsthand the growth and projection of this beautiful province as a tourist destination. But we have also discovered that reliable, honest, and easy-to-book airport transportation can make a Costa Rica vacation more enjoyable.

That’s why, after all the years of experience, we decided to start LIR Transfers in March 2024 – a new and fresh option to cater to the increasing number of visitors to Liberia Costa Rica Airport (LIR).
